With the holidays all wrapped up, Stephen and I have just been struck lately by all the gifts we have received. We are incredibly thankful to be here. Yes, some days are really, really, hard. There are days when we don’t know how we ended up here, feel inadequate at our jobs or just feel too weary to care for another child well. Then there are days, and weeks, where we are just so aware of the many gifts of living in this place and this season. Today, I just want to share with you some of the gifts of being here.
We are so thankful for the gifts our friends and families have sent us – which give us so many goodies and encouragement of home. We continue to be humbled by and so grateful for all of the financial support we have received and continue to receive – thank you so much. We are so thankful for the adventures we’ve been able to have. And we are beyond thankful for the beautiful people we get to work alongside of and serve.
Special thank you to Twin Valley Coffee. It’s the little things–like fresh roasted, good quality coffee–that are such treats and comforting reminders of home. Twin Valley Coffee generously gave us bags of green beans to bring with us (that we now roast on our windowsill) as their way to support what we’re doing. Thanks again!
